GOLDBIOTICS ICU  (ICU= Intensive Care Ultra) is a highly concentrated and synergetic mix of pre- and postbiotics and a fatty acid glycerol ester to optimize the functions of the intestinal flora. The intestinal flora (intestinal microbiome) is responsible for 70% of immunity; contains 99% of all genetic information in the body, produces 40% of all molecules in the body and directly affects joints, skin, liver, kidneys, brain (stress, mood, pain), heart, breast (milk), immunity, metabolic syndrome and reproduction.
The combination of 7 different ingredients has been chosen to optimize the broadest possible spectrum of the intestine and its microflora. This approach led to several patents for one of the leaders of GoldMedics.Prebiotics (and postbiotics) are molecules that selectively favor the beneficial flora of the host as a nutritional source and directly or indirectly disadvantage the unfavorable flora. Most dietary fibers are not prebiotics because they provide a food source for both beneficial and unfavorable flora.

Medical treatment or surgery usually requires the administration of medications.

Most medicines (see study in Nature and study on 1,000 non-antibiotics), but certainly antibiotics, NSAIDs, stomach medicines, etc., have a catastrophic effect on the intestinal flora and thus on the beneficial influence of the intestinal flora on the body. Recovery can take months.

Administering GOLDBIOTICS ICU, preferably a few days before, but certainly during and after the treatment period, will largely limit this damage.

There is a known relationship  between the intestinal flora of dogs and their feces. When a dog’s intestinal flora is not in balance, this can lead to poor eating and diarrhea. This can be caused by several factors, including an unsuitable diet for the dog, stress, illness or medications.

Eating dog feces, also called coprophagia, is a common and often concerning behavior.

Disturbed intestinal flora can contribute to coprophagia in dogs. An imbalance in the intestinal flora can cause the smell and taste of the feces to change, making it more attractive to the dog. In addition, eating manure can also serve to restore intestinal flora, because feces can be a source of beneficial bacteria.

Disturbed intestinal flora can contribute to abnormal behavior in animals. Research has shown that there may be a link between an imbalance in intestinal flora and symptoms such as depression, anxiety and aggressive behavior.

The intestinal flora plays an important role in the communication between the intestine and the nervous system, the so-called intestinal-brain axis. An imbalance in the intestinal flora can lead to changes in this communication and contribute to the development of neurological disorders.

Skin: Healthy intestinal flora contributes to healthy skin in dogs. An imbalance in the intestinal flora can lead to inflammation in the body, which can damage the skin. For example, allergic or atopic dogs often have an imbalance in their intestinal flora. Improving a dog’s intestinal flora can help prevent or treat these skin conditions.

Joints: Disturbed intestinal flora can also contribute to inflammation of a dog’s joints, which can lead to conditions such as arthritis. Research has shown that restoring gut flora in dogs with arthritis can help reduce symptoms and improve joint health.

Liver: The liver plays an important role in breaking down and removing toxins from the body. Disturbed intestinal flora can disrupt liver function and contribute to the accumulation of toxins in the dog’s body. This can lead to conditions such as fatty liver disease and hepatitis. Restoring a dog’s intestinal flora can help prevent or treat these conditions.

Disturbed immunity in dogs is often associated with intestinal dysbiosis, i.e. an imbalance in the intestinal flora. The immune system plays an important role in protecting the body against diseases and infections, and healthy intestinal flora is essential for the proper functioning of the immune system.

An imbalance in a dog’s intestinal flora can lead to a weakened immune system, making the animal more vulnerable to infections and diseases. For example, dogs with an overgrowth of harmful bacteria in their intestines are at increased risk for infections such as parvovirus and gastroenteritis. An imbalance in intestinal flora can also contribute to allergies and autoimmune diseases in dogs.

Inflammation is the body’s natural response to damage or infection. It is a complex process in which the immune system responds to damage or invaders such as bacteria, viruses and fungi. Inflammation may be visible as redness, swelling, warmth, and pain at the site of the injury or infection.

In most cases, inflammation is a helpful response that helps the body repair itself and protect itself from further damage or infection. But when inflammation becomes chronic, it can harm the body and contribute to the development of several diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer and autoimmune diseases.

Restoring gut flora and promoting a healthy lifestyle can help reduce chronic inflammation and improve overall health.

IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) and high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) are two different conditions that are not directly related.

IBD is a condition characterized by chronic inflammation of the intestines. This can cause a number of symptoms, including abdominal pain, diarrhea, weight loss and fatigue. The cause of IBD is not entirely clear, but factors such as genetics, a weakened immune system, and environmental factors can all contribute.

Hyperglycemia, on the other hand, is caused by a lack of insulin or a decreased response to insulin, which causes blood sugar levels to become too high. This can lead to symptoms such as thirst, frequent urination, blurred vision and fatigue.

Although there is no direct link between IBD and hyperglycemia, IBD may indirectly contribute to the development of hyperglycemia. Some research suggests that people with IBD have a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes, which is associated with high blood sugar.

There is increasing scientific evidence that intestinal flora plays an important role in athletic performance. For example, healthy intestinal flora can contribute to better absorption of nutrients, less inflammation and better regulation of the immune system. This in turn can improve energy production and muscle recovery, leading to better performance.

There are indications that disturbed intestinal flora in dogs can play a role in reproductive problems. A dog’s gut flora can influence its immune system, hormonal balance and overall health, all of which are important for reproduction.

A 2017 study found that giving female dogs probiotics during pregnancy and lactation can help promote intestinal flora development in puppies and reduce the risk of diarrhea. Another 2019 study suggests that disruption of intestinal flora in male dogs can lead to reduced sperm quality and reduced fertility.

A mixture of prebiotics, where we have chosen products that are metabolized at various places along the entire length of the intestinal tract, making the effect several times more favorable.
As a reminder, prebiotics are generally plant molecules that selectively favor the beneficial flora of the host as a nutritional source and directly or indirectly harm the flora that is unfavorable to it. Most fibers are not prebiotics because they provide a food source for both beneficial and unfavorable flora.

Learn more about prebiotics

A mix of postbiotics. Postbiotics are prebiotic fragments of probiotics that have been fermented in vitro and then neutralized and enriched. Usually it is the cell walls of probiotics that have the prebiotic effect. The amount of postbiotics enriched in GOLDBIOTICS ICU is hundreds of times higher than the postbiotics produced in vivo as a result of the breakdown of commonly used probiotics.
. Glycerol fatty acid ester. It has been shown to support the intestinal lining, suppress inflammation in the gut and strengthen the immune system against disease-causing organisms. In addition, the intestinal wall produces microRNAs that promote the expression of genes and growth of healthy intestinal flora.

. More than sufficient amounts of the previous 3. One dose for a medium-sized dog contains more than 5 g of prebiotic effect.

Dosage: Cat and small dog (<10 kg): 5 ml/day
Medium (10 to 25 kg) and large dogs: 7.5 ml/day

It can be used as such or as a booster when taking joint, sports, liver, immune, reproductive nutritional supplements, etc.
GOLDBIOTICS ICU  is available in 0.1 and 0.3 liter bottles.

Since it is a complex product, it is advisable to shake it before dosing.

The price per 0.1 liter was deliberately kept low, so that simultaneously providing short-term treatment while administering antibiotics, NSAIDs, etc. remains financially feasible for the customer. If longer use of the medicine is necessary, larger packages are more suitable.

Afterwards you can switch to Combi Gold Dog, which contains a lower but sufficient dose of GOLDBIOTICS
