FLEX by GOLDMEDICS and FLEX PLATINUM provide support on two levels:

1. At cellular level (chondrocytes):
   Chondrocytes are responsible for the continuous breakdown and regeneration of cartilage. This natural process can become disrupted. Research shows that specific nutrients can positively influence this balance.
2. At recovery and prevention level:

Results?

Research and field experience show clear progress:

• After 2 to 4 weeks: noticeable improvement in mobility.

• After 6 months: 80% of dogs are able to jump effortlessly again (e.g. onto the sofa or into the car).

Only ingredients that are scientifically substantiated and have demonstrated clear results in practice are used in FLEX by GOLDMEDICS and FLEX PLATINUM.

The most bioavailable form of glucosamine

This unique form is more readily absorbed and directly usable, in contrast to conventional glucosamine, which often yields variable results. It helps reduce pain, swelling and stiffness. Glucosamine is a building block of hyaluronic acid and is essential for the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans, which are required for bones, cartilage, tendons, ligaments and other connective tissues.

Sodium hyaluronate

Acts as a shock absorber and lubricant within the joint. It also stimulates the synthesis of proteoglycans, which are crucial for cartilage elasticity. A molecular size was selected that allows better absorption and effective migration to the joint.

Collagen peptides (two types)

Approximately 70% of cartilage consists of collagen. Specific collagen peptides meet the increased demand during growth or heavy loading. Studies demonstrate improvements in flexibility, mobility and vitality.

Bamboo extract

Contains the highest natural silicon content of all plant extracts. Silicon plays a role in bone mineralisation, collagen synthesis, hyaluronic acid synthesis and immune system stimulation.

MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)

Reduces oxidative stress and has a soothing effect on inflammation. MSM is an important source of organic sulphur. Sulphur is essential for hormones, enzymes, proteins and for the structure and strength of cartilage, skin, tendons, ligaments and collagen. More info.

Curcumin (exceptionally bioavailable)

A very powerful antioxidant that helps reduce inflammation. FLEX uses purified curcumin (the active compound), whereas turmeric root contains only 0.6–5% curcumin. More info.

GoldBiotics® 

A patented blend of pre- and postbiotics with intestinal barrier protection. Its effect on gut microbiota has been demonstrated by GOLDMEDICS. The gut microbiota is directly linked to the musculoskeletal system: studies show that transferring gut microbiota from animals with arthritis can induce arthritis in healthy animals. FLEX PLATINUM is a reinforced version of the successful product FLEX by GOLDMEDICS, designed to act faster in more severe mobility issues.

In addition to the ingredients found in FLEX by GOLDMEDICS, FLEX PLATINUM contains extra EPA and DHA, Boswellia and a higher dose of hyaluronic acid.

Dogs frequently present relative deficiencies in omega-3 fatty acids, particularly EPA and DHA, resulting in an unfavourable omega-3/omega-6 ratio. Several placebo-controlled studies show that supplementation with these omega-3s has particularly beneficial effects in osteoarthritis: improved mobility, reduced use of NSAIDs and increased overall comfort. Interestingly, studies also demonstrated improvements in telomere length (a biomarker of cellular ageing), especially when omega-3s were combined with antioxidants such as curcumin and MSM.

Placebo-controlled studies in dogs have also demonstrated very favourable effects of Boswellia serrata extracts in osteoarthritis, mainly due to their anti-inflammatory action. The active boswellic acids, and especially AKBA (3-Acetyl-11-Keto-Beta-Boswellic Acid), are decisive in this effect.

FLEX PLATINUM contains an extract with a high concentration of AKBA, which also improves palatability.

The positive effects of oral hyaluronic acid supplementation in mobility disorders have been well documented.
While most supplements contain relatively low doses, FLEX by GOLDMEDICS already features one of the highest concentrations on the market. In FLEX PLATINUM, this dose has been increased by an additional 50% for enhanced efficacy.

Yes. Most dogs take FLEX without any issues.

We have not yet received videos from cats, but the dogs of our users are already very enthusiastic.

Packaging:
FLEX by GOLDMEDICS and FLEX PLATINUM are available in 500 ml and 1-litre bottles.

Maintenance dosage

• Cat & small dog (<10 kg): 5 ml/day

• Medium-sized dog (10–25 kg): 7.5 ml/day

• Large dog (>25 kg): 7.5 ml/day

At start-up:
During the first days, the dosage may be doubled to achieve a faster effect.

Number of doses per bottle

• 500 ml bottle: approx. 100 daily doses for a cat or small dog, or 66 doses for medium and large dogs.

• 1-litre bottle: approx. 200 daily doses for a cat or small dog, or 132 doses for medium and large dogs.

Additional advice

• When cartilage regeneration support is required, FLEX is recommended for a minimum of 12 weeks.

• Mix with food or administer directly into the mouth using a syringe.

Tips for faster results

• Pour FLEX over the food and mix with kibble so it adheres well.

• At start-up, a temporarily higher dosage may be given, even up to 5× the standard daily dose.

Research shows that gut microbiota plays a key role in joint health and mobility.

Studies investigating osteoarthritis modulation via the gut microbiota repeatedly demonstrated that improving gut flora leads to reduced inflammation, improved joint function and decreased cartilage degradation.
